Suckling Wines of the World: one of my favourites amongst the Bordeaux reds with good ripe, lush fruit and tasted as one hopes a Bordeaux should with good typicity.

Luscious nose of blackberry, leather, tobacco, and smoke. Blackberry on the palate, and some oak too. Nice acidity that matches smooth tannins, very well balanced, juicy, and a long finish.

Dark reddish-purple garnet in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruits aromas of dark cherries, boysenberries & cassis & plums with overtones of floral notes of violets & dusty/earthy notes, tea, spices, anise, tobacco, minerals & a touch of vanilla/oak in the background. Medium full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with herbs, minerals, spices & a bit of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (94+).

Smoke, black raspberries, espresso, wet earth, truffle, plum and currants create a fabulous nose. Lush, silky, polished, soft and sweet, the fruit tastes as good as it feels on the palate and in the finish.

This is the cuvee 1762. Bramble fruit almost like its zinfandel. And then a touch green on the palate. Kinda an odd combination here.
