My first Pinot Gris from Weinbach - have only had Riesling in the past - a good experience - the wine is not giving a lot on the nose - but on the palette you get pear, some apple also marzipan - you clearly feel some residual sugar - a good balance think 91 is a fair rating.

Pale yellow in glass. Medium minus intensity on the nose. White flower, marzipan, papaya and pear. High alcohol and a touch of residual sugar. Medium finish.

No contemporaneous notes. Excellent, very restrained, with an initial touch of sweetness.

Tasting of 2018 Domaine Weinbach with Catherine Faller (Kaysersberg, France): Nice weight, apple fruit, and moderate residual sugar. Pretty straightforward for early drinking.
