A light golden color. The nose is a bit closed and really not giving away much. Maybe it just needs more time but for now it appears a little unbalanced with a muted nose and small alcohol spikes, which is quite a shame. It seems like the intense mineral notes of chalk overshadows the pretty notes of quince, citrus and citrus flowers. There is also a little hint of vanilla. The taste has an intense structure with high acidity and a tight mineral backbone but it’s all sealed in with intriguing elegance.

This is really well done, agree with Fowlers note below that this has a rich mouthfeel. Finishes longer than expected. Minerality on the palette, acidity in a great place. Peach and honey on nose. Assume this will improve up a point or two for my tastes after a couple years in the cellar.

Another stunning bottle. Too food to hold on to, though no doubt it would improve over a few years - even as ‘entry level’ Riesling from Weinbach. Rich yet fresh, ripe, almost tropical fruit and just so poised and elegant.

Light yellow, full yet crisp with kaffir lime leaf, pineapple and honeydew melon notes.
