  • Immediately upon opening, nose had very nice red and black fruit aromas, with tobacco and leather. Cherry and especially plum flavors were great for about an hour. Very good, surprisingly so.

  • The wideness of the bricked rim hinted at the age of the wine, while the core gave a burgundy hue. Although the wine pleases, it does not reflect much by way of distinction. Cassis, dusty rose, leather and a finish of mint each take the spotlight. Resolved tannins and balance mark the medium mouthfeel. Fully resolved and probably at the end of its drinking enjoyment. Surprisingly, not a grain of sediment. 12.5% alc. With grilled New York strips (beef), creamed pearl onions with bacon and grits. Recommended.

  • I was expecting a bad wine considering the vintage, but was somewhat surprised. The wine had some pleasant cherry fruit tastes and although lite on the finish was not that bad.
