From magnum. 2 hour slow ox. This was in great shape immediately although I gave it 2 hours. Smooth, mature, fine, cassis, some woody notes. I’m impressed how this held up.

The oak still shows strongly in this. Separately and not integrated. Which probably means it never will. But the fruit is still nicely expressive. And the oak isn't overbearing. Just prominent. It's drinks a bit like two things at once. But enjoyable. Still kicking pretty well showing that slightly greener Sonoma expression. Plenty of tannin. Likely at peak. I'd drink but it's not close to giving up the ghost.

From Mag. Soft, simple, and straightforward, but very easy to drink. A great Christmas wine for the roast beast. Still very much alive, I could see this going another 5 years in this format.

Very nice everyday cab. First night was more of a fruit driven wine (plum and cassis) with decent backbone but no obvious secondary flavors. On the second day, the fruit has become more black cherry in flavor but become more muted, adding tobacco and coffee notes. More energy and balance on the finish in a more lightly bodied wine. Nose was tight both days.

Keeps improving with age. Deep spicy fruit with earthy notes and fine dusty tannins. Nose matches palate. Nice
