Decanted for 30 mins. Burnt brown sugar, caramel, breadcrumbs, straw and nut fruit on the nose. Elegant on the palate with medium plus stuffing. Not very complex but truly remarkable for a weak vintage white. 92+

Pre-Paulee Birthday Dinner (Jardiniere - San Francisco CA): Ripe stone fruit. Moderate maturity, in fact very fresh for any white wine at this age. Flavors and aromas are very good, but the concentration and density of this wine were particularly memorable and noteworthy. A rare treat, thank you, Michael.

Musigny (Marea): Golden Sauternes-like color with a pungent scent of soil and mossy earth. I can't say this has any freshness left to it and certainly tastes its age or a bit more, but it's not maderized or falling apart. The fruit, or what's left of it, is sort of peachy, or maybe more like a dull patina of peachy, with a candy-corn thing that kind of grows on me. I think some people had this as a dump-bucket wine but it actually managed to hold my interest for a full glass.

Amazing line-up, one-word impressions only: First time I had this wine - holding up well, quite a gentle wine, everything in place, but not overly memorable

Interesting nose reminds me a little bit of motor oil(in a good way). This has lots of acidity and is still very fresh and lively.
