Medium dark yellow. Much darker than the mosel we had from the same year. A bit bitter but some nice savory flavors. I noted it stated 14 alcohol which may explain the more oxidized bitter flavor. Went well the Sichuan food, but seemed over the hill.

This wine had a darker color, definitely more advanced. Exotic nose and quite good when cold, but less pleasing as it warmed and the flaws of oxidation began to peak through. As has been said, "there are no great wines, only great bottles..."

Dark gold to amber in colour. Great resiling nose with chemical / petrol edge. Big citrus, specifically orange and grapefruit. Palate was extremely bitter with a wallop of tart orange citrus. Texturally very oily. High acid too. Minerality shows through somewhat. Finish was mouthcoating and very long, but quite sweet. Very interesting.

Marks duckhouse – MV Krug, Bonneau CDP, Centenaire, Truchot, Pousse d'Or & etc.: Beautiful golden color that I associate with ZH. Brand Riesling has to be my favorite ZH. Beautifully mature complex nose displaying yellow peach, apricot jam, petrol, honey, sweet spices, light caramel and mineral. Excellent concentration, oily yet precise due to good mineral expression, and a long lingering sweet finish. Goes really well with roasted pork.
