Pop and pour. First impressions…not really a classic Pauillac nose, a bit murky. Palate is unexpectedly warm, mellow and then a wall of tannin. Quite interesting, not wonderful but not bad either.
I’ll update this later.

Deep red colour, faded rim, no browing, Good nose - dark fruit, jam, earthy notes, cinnamon and cloves, Not the loveliest wine, firm tannin, some sweet stewed fruit and spice notes. Tannins seem to get firmer the longer its open. I don't mind a firm wine but where's the fragrance? Not sure about this. It might improve with age but at the moment seems like there's not much beyond those tannins and rather heavy spicy fruit.

This 16 years old bottle has a red purple color, legs coming down too fast, a mid rim. Aromas are still too tied to distinguish. Lots of tertiary aromas . At taste tannins and acidity balanced and subdue with a 20 sec rounded finishing

Fairly muted aromas of cassis and tobacco, then a plump but rather austere mouthful of blackcurrant fruit that lacks intensity. There's an agreeable creaminess and it's not unpleasant at all but really, this is expensive for what it is. I imagine the tannins will die down a little more in a year or two but I'm not sure the fruit will last that long.
