UGC 2019 Singapore (Singapore): Just like the 2014 a few days before this is surprisingly round for a St. Estephe. Not the most aromatic 2019 Bdx but already very accessible. 91-92

Love how the UGC pourer basically refused to serve the 2019 Pichon Lalande unless people had this first. To be frank, at the ~$40 value of Pez, you can do much better buying something else, whether it's in BDX or not. Lol. Into the spit bucket.

UGC Bordeaux (Union Station - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Ripe black fruit, also well spiced, all forward and balanced and almost accessible already. Fun now, better 2025 forward, 90-91 points.

Quite floral in nature, the wine continues picking up steam with the addition of spice box, pepper, herbs, red and black currants and espresso bean on the nose. From there the wine is fresh, sweet and vibrant, with chewy fruit, creamy tannins and a long, fruit-packed finish with a touch of spice, dark cocoa and dusty tannins in the endnote. Drink from 2025-2039.
