Slow decant of over an hour. Medium to deep prune-ruby in colour. Nose of crushed red ripe cherries, touch of blueberries, a little hint of cloves and vanilla. On the palate, there are semi-tarty blue and black fruits with some black cherries and espresso. Medium bodied with a medium finish. Last tasted on 2019. Opened up a little more after some time.

Big heady vanilla red and black fruit bordeaux nose. On the palette the smooth red fruit typical of st.estephe is singing here after the dozen years, supported by tertiary, then great tannic structure and finishing with the firecracker spice from the petit verdot, smashing stuff !

On open very floral and ripe berries. Still ended up decanting for two hours because where it comes from. Drinking way better than I would have hoped for. Drank smooth and young. Had it with smoked ribeye roast and the acidity still punched through the smoke and charred meat. The wine and ribeye cap just melted into a great long in marriage finish. No reason to sit on them any longer with a decant, also no hurry, this will still do well years from now.
