Notes of chocolate strawberries, tart cherries and rose. Tastes high in alcohol. Tannin character is not resolved yet. I would wait another couple years before opening. For an entry level Barolo it’s overpriced.

Barolo 2018 (Bottega Coco): A little camphor note, pot pourri, a little plum. Medium plus intensity acidity, plummy fruit, a touch of cherry, touch of bitterness to the tannins which are drying, grippy, chewy and ridiculously persistent. Yum yum.

Blind night. Still showing lots of tannins, but I had thought it was older - ended up being a 2018. Slight earthy mossy nose, backed by dark fruits. High intensity of cranberries, tannic tart blackberries, roses and tar. Really well balanced, showing great purity of fruit, not too earthy. This can age further. 91+

樱桃、蔓越莓、石榴、番茄,玫瑰、栗子、红茶,还有一点烟熏和泥土气息。在醒酒过程中,单宁逐渐提升强度,而酸度的表现却并非线性增强,所以存在着此消彼长的阶段,而酸度脱颖而出时,酒精感会显得略为突出。整体状态在第二天达到真正的融合,颇有现代风格的强劲感,被丝滑单宁主导的优雅呈现取代。唯一遗憾是回味自始至终有些许的苦味。
