Superb, none of the flabby characteristics you can sometimes get with viognier. Taut and lean to begin with but great depth and complexity. Superb, wish budget had stretched to more than one bottle!

Served blind. In the setting (I was expecting Burgundy) this has a Southern feel, but then the epiphany, it's all there: broad, yet precise, plenty of exotic frut, but balanced by minerals, citrus and fine acidity; goes on and on, certainly too young still. 94+ #Søllerød#Tulle
Drunk for dinner with coriander and cucumber soup. 14.5%. Pale yellow gold. Perfumed nose of jasmine, orange blossom and citrus progressing onto peach and tarragon on the palate with lots of minerality Great balance, poise and length. Nothing in excess - very well judged. Lovely wine.

Ken's Dueling Northern Rhones (Ken's Castle): Double blind against 2 other viognier's and this time it did not present nearly as well as my prior tasting note. Apricot, floral vanilla and flowers on the nose. Medium body on the palate with a spicy finish. This came across more new world double blind. This probably should have been decanted. Finished last, 3rd out of 3 in this flight.

Just wow... This is so intensely floral and complex. Fantastic length and concentration as well. It drinks perfectly today. The acidity is not too high though, and thus we are not really sure how long we are going to cellar remaining bottle, but most likely <5 years.
