Having now in 2017, this wine is very pleasant. Notes of blackberry, cherry and licorice on the nose, with similar notes plus cedar to taste. If you can pick it up now, it's a good but not overwhelming wine which shouldn't cost you. I'd recommend at $30 Canadian a bottle, which is about where it's sitting right now. It paired well with Coquilles St Jacques, to my moderate surprise.

CDP vs. Northern Rhone (Beebe House): Very nice wine - poor notes - nice aromatics (dirty & old world), blackberry. On Palate, blackberry, white peppe, good acids & medium finish - Very elegant wine and "tasted" like a Northern Rhone in the tasting - good QPR. Excellent with food - 88-89 rating.

Deep purple and a touch new worldish. Could it be 2005-itis? I liked this okay but it was a little too fruit forward and obvious. It toned down a bit over the course of dinner, but not quite enough to change my mind.
