Quite tannic, good concentrated color with a purple tint, medium plus bodied, cedar component dominant, plus blackberry and a little blueberry. Best on day 1, 91/100. Lessens everyday.

The most defining characteristic of Motor City Kitty is that the wine is smooth, with no hard edges, almost overly muted. This is a dense, diffuse, hard-to-pin-down Syrah with occasional notes of blueberry syrup and forest floor. What makes this wine stand out is that it changes over time, with different flavors appearing and then receding, to allow other flavors to become somewhat more pronounced. This makes for an unusual and beguiling wine experience.

P&P (should have decanted!) Massive wine with huge fruit, lots of tannin and oak. Started getting more approachable later in the evening. Drink now with a decant (several hours recommended) - 2033.

Bolder Syrah paired well with steak dinner. Black fruits, fairly strong tannins, along with tobacco and oak.

This is starting to open up on the palate, but still a baby. Lovely balance and alcohol aromas present on release have subsided.
