pnp. on the meatier side of Syrah. at its age, the fruit is fading and the secondaries are really coming through. TONS of sediment. after a few hours it hit its stride. 88-90. drink up.

Looks good coming out of the bottle. A nice purple/red hue. Swirling kind of creates a nice garnet color which surprised me with a Washington syrah. On the nose you get decent fruit but also some heat from the alcohol. No meat or bacon fat as you'd expect from a worthy WA syrah. Decent mouthfeel as you get a good amount of fruit forward wine, hardly any tannin to speak of. Pleasant but not complicated by any means. The finish ends in a blur. Good effort for $20/bottle but not the $30 I paid.

Wow! Loved this Syrah. Notes of pepper and lots of fruit. Exactly what I expect from a great syrah. I have a few bottles so I am going to cellar for a few years to see if this gets even better, but will enjoy a couple more of these beauties in the meantime.

tasted too much like syrup after many burgs, probably decent on it's own
