Last of 6 bottles, can't say I was wowed by any of them. Extracted ripe fruit, a little down on the vanilla this time but still is kind of a mess with the alcohol.

PnP. Vanilla and cola on the nose. Taste is ripe dark fruits, some baking spices, steminess, and a little more vanilla. A bit of alcohol on transition from mid to finish sneaks in as well.

A year and a half later and time has helped since my last tasting. Nose is still dominated by vanilla and cedar with nary a bit of fruit. At least on the palate it is not a hot mess; dark, ripe fruits, vanilla, slight bitter tannins on the finish over some spice. Not my favorite but at least it isn't hitting me across the head with alcohol.

Aerated for a 2 hours prior to drinking. Dark and rich wine. High alcohol on the nose as well as on the palate. Ultra extracted, in the style of a ripe Australian Shiraz rather than a St. Joseph. To me there was too much concentration, bitterness, over-ripe and over extraction. Bordered on a port towards the end of the bottle. Not my style, and I wouldn't buy again.
