93-94 vvPunkte (85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 40% Neuholz) La Grave war einer meiner ersten Weine aus Pomerol, die ich vor über 20 Jahren dieses Gebiet näher gebracht haben. Dieser 2020er besticht durch eine betörende Nase nach dunklen Kirschen, Pflaumen, Brombeeren und zeigt darüber Eukalyptus und Veilchen. Im Gaumen wirkt der Wein anfangs fast harmlos und bereits super zugänglich, doch das täuscht, reife, dunkle Frucht, seidenweiche Gerbstoffstruktur, rund und fast etwas mollig, dabei aber nicht fett, nein einfach mit sehr solider Frucht im Gepäck, ausgwogen, feinwürzig und mit einem eindrücklichen Abgang. Kürzlich genoss ich meine letzte Flasche mit Jahrgang 2000 - ein Gedicht. Dieser Wein dürfte noch besser werden und gut reifen. 2025-2045 (Mai 2021) vvWine.ch

Floral, fresh, vibrant, lively red plums are found in the perfume. The wine is lush, round, ripe and silky. Medium-bodied with a finish that packs in sensuously textured plums on the mid-palate that carry through to the finish. This is a big step up in quality here. It should age and develop for at least 2 decades. 92-94

Medium intensity notes of dark plumy fruit, oak, leafy with some medicinal notes. Light to medium bodied with balancing acidity and short to medium length.
