Lots of dark berry fruit with a side of red berries, blackcurrant leaf, fairly approachable for a young Chinon as the fruit is still to the fore, could be interesting with some cellar time

Aromas of fresh red and darker berries mingle with notions of green bell pepper, leather, earth and licorice. The wine is effortles with nicely powdery tannins and sexy orange topnote. If you like classic chinon and dont mind some green aromas (I love them) then this is for you.

D1h during which the carafe was shaked rigorously a couple of times to liberate the massive sulfur odor. Nevertheless, not my cup of tea. Totally void of Cab. F. fruit and very rustic.

The pyrazine notes on the nose were quite distracting but palate was fresh with dark red fruit. Appears to be made in a more approachable style, wouldn’t keep this for too long. Not very memorable.

Deep ruby red, almost opaque, with purple red brim. Nose is young, fruity, with notes of green paprika, plums, black currants, herbs and just a touch of licorice. Mouthfeel is young, fruity, elegant and well balanced, with fine-grained tannins, nice acidity and notes of green paprika, plums, black currants, herbs and a touch of licorice.
Excellent young Chinon with very nice character, that will age beautifully for many more years.
