Very dry. Some nice fruit and good structure, but the tannins overwhelmed on day 1. On day 2 they had softened a bit, but overall the impression is it needs more time to mellow and integrate. Would be interested to try a bottle in 5 years time.

Did you know that freisa is a parent or child of nebbiolo? So says Jancis Robinson in her tome Wine Grapes.
This wine is really good. It is aromatically balanced, with half fruit and half non-fruit. And it is texturally balanced, with good acidity, sweet fruit weight, and tannins.
A good case could be made for Piedmont as world’s best wine region.

I like this one as something between a good Barbera, and not really up there with the different Nebbiolos. Time will do this one good, I drunk it over two days and it improves. But the style as such, no shame of drinking these now, but do not expect something overly complex. This is slimmer, more elegant, well balanced, ok length - for now.

Black fruit moving quickly into a dense, earthy core on big tannic chew. No clue about this grape so can't reason about where this might be going... in the short term this is a pass, spend the next $5-10 and get their Barolo.
