A weird combination. A Freisa that almost tastes like a barolo. In the vogue of heavy thick Freisa that has touched Piedmont some time ago. Super tannic, unable to perceive the original fruit except some pepper, but almost an afterthought. Almost everyone was surprised to see that the producer was Vajra, that usually produces pretty, fairly traditional wines. Also, a price point that does not make sense. Buy a nebbiolo instead. Also too much alcohol.

Very smooth and well balance with a full body. The varietal Freisa is not very common in Piedmont, If you like berries, pepper and tobacco in a rich wine, give this a try.

Red roses, quite tannic, savoury finish. Good wine but don’t understand it fully. Why not get a Nebbiolo langhe?

Young. Good acidity and gripping tannins. Needs a little time to come together. Definitely needs food.
