Tasted side by side with the 2020 Dugat-Py Petite Chapelle. Both excellent wines. Cherries and raspberries. An abundance of velvety tannins that add a a fleshy texture and a dark spice note from the well-judged stems. This has the potential to develop even more spices and roses as it ages.
In comparison, the Petite Chapelle's tannins are leaner which allows the fruit and acidity to thrive. There is still a bit of a reduction present, so give it lots of air. If you are after longevity, I would bet on the Petite Chapelle and its abundant driving acidity.
