Tasting more like an aged bordeaux, none of that candied pinot fruit. Plums and dark fruits, low acidity, lacking freshness. Needs 90 minutes in a decanter. There seems to be some bottle variation.

On the verge of greatness. This is finally showing complexity with rippling sweet dark strawberries, cassis, framboise and black tea. Middle-long length. Clean, balanced, well made. Still has potential to improve with another 3-5 years.

(Domaine Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses) Camembert and brown sugar nose; tasty, oaky fruit (but not as oaky as the 2000 Groffier Bonnes-Mares), mellow and subtle; medium-plus finish

Kaleidoscopic nose of flowers, cloves, black cherries and even a little nutmeg. Layered and lush and very silky texture.
This wine still has a long life to go.
Sadly, my last bottle.

Ahhhhhhh lovely. Flowers, dirt, and some kind of fairy dust that's hard to describe and easy to love. Served from magnum, excellent.
