Slow oxygenation opening for about 4 hours. The color deepens over those 4 hours for a wine that is an opaque plum. Initially, the nose is cedar and mushroom. Four hours later, the cedar continues to dominate, but is joined by blackberry, graphite, sage and a touch of tobo smoke. The body is medium-leaning-big. While the tannins are still firm, they are fully integrated. A touch of dusty rose lingers on the finish. The wine displays plenty of fruit, acidity, and tannins. Everything is in place.. 12.5% alc. With inedible lamb chops. The lanolin permeates each bite. We threw out dinner. Recommended

Had surprisingly decent fruit for a 31 year old bottle. Balanced with some complexity and a good nose. A nice finish and not too dry because of the remaining fruit.

This wine had had better times. Good level in the bottle. But it smells like wet leaves and too old fruit. All right on the palate. This is an old wine, nothing more, nothing less.

Mushrooms and almost balsamico notes on the nose. On the palate still relatively fresh, lots of earth and seconday, tertiary aromas. Nice and interesting, but not really my style.

Wine Education Service - Good Bordeaux Is Not Expensive (LSE): Not a lot of fruit in this very attractive developed nose.
Very refreshing, fruity, good acidity, a bit lacking in the mid palate.
