See Ernestas recent tasting note for the cepage. This is classic and attractive 'old school' claret. Only just beginning to drink in my view - I'd be tempted to give it 5 years.

One of the finest producers from Moulis, great vintage which is well regarded for this particular chateau. Made from a blend of 60% CS, 35% Merlot and 5% PV. Medium+ garnet colour, ruby hue. Medium+ intensity aroma of cassis, black cherries, tobacco, earth, smoke. Medium+ body, elegant and smooth with lively structure, medium- density, medium+ acidity, fine medium+ tannins, flavours of smoky cherries and cassis, toasted oak nuances. Already in its drinking window, drink now or keep for at least another decade.

Tempting bouquet with dark berries and a beautiful dose of oak and cedar. Same on the palate, vanilla, some licorice, chocolate, beautiful acidity and round, fairly soft tannin with still a good bite. The wine is in its young maturity stage now but can easily last another 5+ years. Beautiful drinking with a decant of 3 – 4 hours.

Decanted 2 hours. Great drinking wine for value. Nice nose, medium length finish. In its window but can last another 5-10 years.
