Initially very metallic on the nose and palate. After 30min took on lovely sweet red fruit, dried roses, earth but still a distinct metallic note. Quite a bit of iron and seaweed? on the medium finish. Very pretty but this is clearly past its prime and should be drunk soon.
Base neck fill. Soft cork. Allowed to breathe in glass 30 minutes before tasting. Clear medium-light brick-ruby red. Bouquet of roses, tar, leather, and evergreen tree. Pleasantly tart red berries on the palate, with mouth-coating tannins and dry finish. Likely past prime but still outstanding.
