Highly perfumed aromatics of citrus blossom and mandarin peel. It is just taking on some toasty development. Rich and textured palate with a hint of buuter and loads of citrus. It is full and voluminous with great presence and a clean bright finish.
Stunning for the year, stunning full stop. This is drinking beautifully with an aroma of mandarin peel, toast, truffle, iodine and blossom. In the mouth it is layered with a light butteriness to the piercing citrus fruits. It is harmonious with good intensity and excellent lemon juice cut on the finish.
Perhaps just lacks the cut and thrust of Chablis from a great vintage but a cracking drink none the less. There’s some mandarin and orange peel notes on the nose along with honey, milk and toast. In the mouth it is generous and round with a creamy feel and good underlying minerality. The fruit is rich and pulpy and has very good length of flavour with just a hint of truffle development. Freshly shucked Coffin Bay oysters are this wine’s friend.
