Gary V. recommendation. Pale straw color in glass. Huge nose of quince, starfruit, and an interesting petrol aroma. Nice weighty mouthfeel dominated by minterality (almost saltiness) a hint of apple, and an almost oiliness. Long lingering minerally and dry finish. A very unique wine that is well made. Not for your typical N.A. riesling drinkers, but I enjoyed it thoroughly, although it didn't pair well with our food. (B+).

Wineflock - Rieslings Around the World (Bob's): Group #4, My #9 - White color. Medium rich sweet white fruit nose. Dry extract white fruit on the palate. Young but decent stuffing. Interesting...

I opened this to prepare for Willy Porter who was playing live in Schaumburg. It is a simple washington Riesling with overall nice fruit overtones and aromatics. Certainly not anything to be held up against its german brethren and for the price there are other choices and even a number of true German offerings one could make. It was a nice rminder that with the warmin of weather that i should make a point of breaking into some of my German gems.
