Yarra, Mornington, Geelong wine tour day two (Yarra Valley): Dense black fruits, concentrated a sense of power and weight, it's slightly sour and bitter on the palate, dark hued fruit, drying tannins, feels a little clumsy, perhaps time?

Quite approachable young but it has the bones to age. Again reflecting the precocious 2021 in the YV, with the added complexity from the viognier, marsanne and mataro(?). The Carrodus is currently a little unidimensional by comparison, being straight Shiraz. The comparison will be interesting in a decade.
