In recent weeks, I have had the chance to re-taste a good number of Bordeaux 2022 samples to see their evolution almost a year after the primeur week. I put you below and in alphabetical order, those that I imagine for the moment, worthy of the highest grade! It must be understood that I have not tasted all the wines, far from it, and that some others are going through more difficult evolutionary phases for the moment and therefore impossible to rate while remaining honest. Only the notes after bottling will be truly conclusive. Thank you for understanding this.
Cheval Blanc, Lafleur, Las Cases, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Margaux, Petrus, Tertre-Roteboeuf

The 2022 Leoville Las Cases is undoubtedly an impressive wine, slightly reticent on the nose today which is perhaps not surprising for an en primeur sample - all the more unsurprising since that en primeur sample is Leoville Las Cases! Yet, the wine is so deep, broad, and expansive in the mouth with fine tannin coating every bit of the palate with very fine, silky tannin. The blue and black fruit that fans reminds me a little bit of the 2010. I'm not sure the Ducru-Beaucaillou and Leoville Barton can't catch this, and it's always tricky so early on in the going, but this might have the advantage by a hair.

Bordeaux 2022 barrel samples and some additional vintages (Solliden in Stockhom): Bordeaux primeur 2022 tasting.
I was not so impressed given the expectations but the wine was good.
This was one of the last wines I tasted and my palate was probably getting a bit tired of new impressions. I only got a very small sip.

Pour moi, le meilleur Las Cases jamais fait (avec le 2016), incroyablement plus abordable que les autres millésimes de Las Cases en primeurs.
Mon numéro 1 pour la rive gauche cette année
