Under screw cap...started out angular and a little musky. Screw cap did its job so far as showing bright lemon/lime freshness, shimmering green gold color...BUT...also shows a metallic edge, angular, fumes, and just plane rough. Very little Chablis character...maybe a little crushed oyster and citrus, but also has a little petrol ala Bord Blanc. Would be interesting to see how the cork version is? Still drinkable, with some nice notes here and there, just not up to Louis Michel quality...not a fan of this one. Will see what tomorrow brings...if anything.

Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
Lately, I have been trying to avoid drinking the entire bottle in one evening (when alone). But this wine was drinking so nicely, I knocked down the whole bottle.
As I noted 18 moths ago: Very nice bottle, well-aged, but not at all past its prime. Round fruit well-balanced with some acidity.

Nice chardonnayfruit, but this wine is underachieving. Anonymous but balanced fruit. Not much aging to see or taste either. A beautiful nose of gooseberries, but that is the most fun part of this wine.

Not quite as enjoyable as the last bottle I had a few weeks ago. Decent, but not as rich or flavorful. Totally shot on Day 2.
