Jackie showing some age here. Very savory and nuanced with aged Burg flavors, dusty tannins and older cherry flavors. A riper vintage and it shows through a little bit here - this should be more vibrant than it is. Great wine but expectations were very high.

Supremely fresh and clean on the nose. Soft strawberry and a mild stalkiness / steminess to it. Floral. The aromatics are highly elegant but very expressive. Clearly unique. On the palate however this is quite striking and expansive red berry. Perhaps not as magnificent as the first, and only other, time I had this, but still pretty superb in my opinion.

Cherry and raspberry with a ripe grippy finish. Some funk and musty notes on initial nose. Then strong honeysuckle and floral notes with air time. Not a great performance for this wine. 88-89

Bright clear crimson. Incredible earth-driven nose is immediately striking with damp soil and soft, ripe red cherry and strawberry. Underbrush, forest floor, leather, white truffle. The palate is like baked cherry compote, loads of mature fruit with solid old earth backing. Animalistic notes intermittent throughout. Strong but approachable spices, cinnamon. Some smoky / cured meat notes towards the end. A sensational and beautiful bottle.

This didn't rock me like the 85. Dark fruits. Raspberry. Quite ripe, full bodied. Lush. Not what I think of with Truchot. I know many liked this a lot!
