  • I love this wine. Enjoyed over 3-4 hours, despite 16 years of age it still developed in the glass over the evening. Nose with honey, butter flower and sweet orange. Very complex. Layer by layer revealing in the glass. On the palate a surprisingly light texture given the very complex nose, however still with several notes og orange peel, honey wax, floral, and with a very long and enjoyable finish. I want more of this. As of maturity I would say that to my taste this is where it should be. However, I think it still have several years to last in the cellar, but not my call to judge as this is my last bottle of the ´06 vintage. Happy that I have other vintages of this wine still in the cellar. 94+ P

  • Very much on the same plate as last time, this is dense with bees wax, minerals, honey, orange confit; layered, keeps one interested. Has a long way to go still.

  • Lots of honey and minerals going on here, seems mature with slightly oxidative notes and a great length and depth Very layered and challenging - an intellectual wine, if I ever saw one.

  • Deep gold yellow. In the nose orange peel, ripe peach, ripe yellow pear. On the palate first a fresh acidity that immediately turn into a complex composition of ripe pear, orange peel, orange, blood orange and then some notes of nuts and roasted pine kernels in the finish. Great composition. This is a very good example of a “orange wine” (a white where the juice rest in the barrels together with the grape skin for some time; in this case 6 months). Defiantly a wine for food. The balance from the ripe blood orange to the medium fresh acidity makes you want to revisit the glass again and again. Great stuff. Mature now and would probably hold for another 10 years. 93+

  • Golden honey hue with a complex nose and full body. Lots of depth, with nice acidity, great balance and a lengthy and delicious finish.

(Château Simone Palette Blanc) Bright golden-yellow, with amber tinges indicating maturity. On the nose, this subtle, complex white displays notes of honeydew, marzipan, rosemary, thyme, lemongrass, hay, and chalk. Round and creamy on the palate, it has that soft, sexy gras of fine Burgundy (or foie), along with bright-lemon, peach, toasted-almond, and mineral notes; gentle yet persistent acids; and a sea tang. it’s elegant, understated, delicate, a bit mysterious, and definitely haunting.
