Wine Bordeauxphilia (at Adina's): Deep ruby red with violet hues. Aroma: Intense and complex aromas of black fruits (blackberry, plum), spices (pepper, licorice), tobacco, and hints of vanilla and oak. Palate: Full-bodied and powerful, with velvety tannins and a long, lingering finish. Some reviews mention notes of black olives, truffles, and herbs. A very elegant and refined Messorio with blackcurrant, blueberry and black plum character. Hints of cedar and spice. Full-bodied and very polished with a long and persistent finish.

Decanted 60 minutes. Nose started with funk and tobacco notes, at first very little fruit. After an hour or so, developed very nicely with good fruit and balance.

Saturyay Chill'!: Blind tasting. Black fruits, mocha, espresso beans with a tinge of wet violets. Quite dense and velvety on the palate and took some time to open up, but was worth the wait. Nice black truffles and bitter chocolate on the tertiaries - this is really just entering its prime (with some fats). Enjoyable today already but I would give this more time to develop. My WOTN!
A better showing for us this time vs the 90 we have it ( maybe a bit harsh) a couple of months back. Definitely needs a good hour+ of decanting to show it charming side. The nose is very solid and once open very rewarding , spice, soft liquorice, good dark fruits and last legs of oaky dynamic . The palate is good but as always this wine and its kind become monotonous after the first impressive glass. Good problem to have we guess but if one likes this style this would be a93+ wine. 91 from us and with lots of life ahead. With hindsight we should have kept this for another 5 years.

Decanted for 3+ hours, excellent wine but not as impressive as i found it 10 years ago. I will let my other bottles age more.
