  This wine was amazing and STILL on the young side. Tannins were definitely small and sweet but plentiful. The color was and dark and rich and still could use some time before its peaking. My feeling is that this 30 year old gem could go another 5-7 years easily before it peaks and live on for early 50! WINNER! Glad I have 4 more!

  De color rubí granatoso de capa media-alta, más intenso de lo que se podía esperar. Algo turbio, con pequeñas partículas en suspensión, reflejos aranajados, borde atejado, muy amplio.
  
  Nariz con problemas al abrir mostrando síntomas de reducción negativa, yodados y lacas. El corcho estaba roto y completamente mojado, achocolatado. Botella decantada durante una hora. Falsa alarma!! Aromas de buena intensidad, especiados, ahumados y un fino balsámico de fondo, huerta, ortiga, menta. Suave y clásico, con apuntes de vainilla, fruta roja, bombón en licor, tierra mojada. Va ganando en intensidad y en presencia, mostrándose como un Riscal moderno, resultón, bien resuelto, pero adolece de cierta falta de complejidad.
  
  En boca se bebe con facilidad. Mucha fruta roja en confitura, fresco, suave, con acidez viva y unos taninos bruñidos, relucientes, pulidísmios. Sabroso, fresco, especiado, con amargosos de calidad y una madera presente pero nada intrusiva. Un tinto fácil de beber, de un estilo alejado de los clásicos de Riscal y de su pegada habitual. Ameno y con bastante vida por delante. Mejor guardar unos años a ver a dónde va...

  90% tempranillo, 10% graciano y mazuelo - 12.5% vol.
  Fermentación en depósitos de acero inoxidable a temperatura controlada. Sometido a 25 meses de crianza en barricas nuevas de roble americano de 225 litros. Un mínimo de 18 meses de guarda en botellero antes de ser comercializado.

  Musty dark odor with cherries and chocolate, delicious and in prime form for a reserva. Soft and as smooth as silk on the palate. Served from magnum with Paella and various cured pork meat products. Spectacular.

  Cork. One of Manuel's hidden bottles. Decanted for 1hr. No sediment, very youthful appearance. Plenty of red fruit on the nose and palate, this wine drank more like a 95, hinting at an ability to keep developing for a while younger, but drinking nicely just now. 90 points.
