[Blind] Honey, apricot, something waxy and wooly. Savory. Very difficult blind. Could be Rhone Blanc but there is a certain frosting / icing on the palate that is indicative of oxidized old white burgundy. Tough showing, quite advanced. Oily texture. Lots of power, lots of potential.

Raveneau Grand and 1er Crus '83-'91, Ross Bott Tasting (Tom's in Palo Alto, CA): Wow, absolutely mesmerizingly spectacular. A stunner of a white, ethereal and transcending. All the wines were amazingly light in color. This ’88 Blanchot exploded from the glass with creamy mint-infused truffle honey. A touch of crispy caramel, mint leaves, coppery minerality. On the palate, a cloud of powdery cottony white roses and truffles. Wow.

With MPL at Singer & Foy survey of new Burgundies. Green-gold. Light hint of banana. Good. On the palate, lots of oak. Fruit is lemony, tart. Seems overly-oaked. 5-10-13-5: 83/100.
