Popina Burgundy BYOB. This would have been my wine of the night if not for the Leflaive Batard, and it's easily the best Chevillon I've ever had. (Maybe they need 32 years?) Still a lot of fruit, but it's married to wonderfully resolved tannins with a hint of mushroom and a seamlessly integrated palate. I only wished I'd gotten a pour of this earlier.

Lovely forest floor, mushroom stock, notes of game, with just a wisp of fruit hanging around. Good acidity, nice minerality. This is a very good LSG. Lovely bottle.

A very nice bottle, likely drinking at its peak. Delicate and suave, this almost had a Chambolle silkiness to it. Fully resolved and very complex, but still retaining a nice core of bright cherry fruit. Drink now.
