Flat gold and straw color. Nose of lemon zest, honeysuckle, and fino sherry. I also picked up on butterscotch, as Mr. Leve notes below, but I couldn’t place that scent until after the fact when I read his note. Clearly mature, but vibrant. The woody, madeirized element of the nose leads the attack alongside the floral and lemon notes and stretches on throughout the taste. Citrus resonates throughout, as does that honeysuckle. The acid component kept it somewhat fresh despite the age-appropriate oxidative element, although there’s no pucker. Mature. Pretty. Could use a touch more punch. Great now, but nowhere to go but down.

In contention for WOTN, this really blew us away. Full, complete, mature, lots of minerals here, creamy texture, hints of honey, still a fine citrus note in the center. #Schur

With a hint of gold in the color, the wine offers butterscotch, honeysuckle, lemon, lime and buttery notes in the perfume. The sweet citrus finish delivers, softly textured, yellow fruits, apple, honey and vanilla notes. Fully mature, it is not often I get to taste 22 year old bottles of Pavillon Blanc.

Golden hay, still brilliant. Welcoming nose, open, rich. Perfumed white flowers, citrus peel and a nutty tertiary complexity. The palate is plush and luxurious, everything in place. Mature yellow fruits, hazelnut, balanced acidity. Long aftertaste. This lady just knocks me out. A blonde Hollywood superstar dressed in her premiere best. Drinking perfectly now.

Amazing minerality without the typical cat pee characteristic. Really nice
