Nose of toasted almonds, vanilla and floral and fruity smell tending to the tropical, definitely not citrusy. Palate continues with toasted almond theme, touch of vanilla, stones and mild citrus. Very enjoyable wine that is not terribly complex but has aged delightfully. Very Good.

Oddbins French Wine Masterclass - Champagne, Burgundy & South East France (Oddbins Farringdon, London): Nose: Strawberry, marzipan, toasted nuts and pineapple, some caramel, rubber
Mouth: dry, nutty, light citrus and a little gooseberry. Still a little acidity and oily. Almost, for me, a touch of rancio.
£25 12.5%. Some people at the tasting liked it but it wasn't for me.
