  • Saturday late night drinks at Maison Dakota. Pop and poured drank over 2 hours. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with wide garnet rim. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with bits of sweaty horse that blows off, aromas of fragrant sous bois earth, wildflowers, pretty red cherries, bacon meat. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), fine medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of elegant pretty red cherries, stony minerality, sweet earth, salty bacon meat, Some darker black cherries with more air. Long finish.
Very good quality. Impressive in an elegant sinewy ballerina way. No vulgar flamboyance here. Prime drinking. No need for further ageing.
