  Absolutely brilliant. Feeling a bit nostalgic as this is the last of a case of a set of ten cases most of which were popped up at out weeding in 2010

  From magnum. Retains great mousse and fizz with a gentle nose. Give it some time to open up and richer notes come through with touches of development. Very well balanced, not austere or two sweet with a lovely drinking experience. Good toasty notes and richness.
  If you could find in magnum then it’s a lovely well priced option.

  Lazy Sunday Lunch (La Trompette): Another generous offering from Magnum Mike. Expressive nose, started off well balanced, a hint of apple and honey maybe. Perfectly decent champagne. Over the next hour and a half or so - really started to open up and put on more body, more depth. A really nice champagne.

  On the nose: Mineral, gunpowder, citrus, wet stone.
  On the palate: Citrus, gunpowder, lime, fudge
  Medium + finish
