Opened yesterday and decanted, then left overnight on the counter. Seemed real, real soft yesterday and it was difficult to find much to say. Better tonight. Ruby red but browning quite a bit. Nose much more expressive now, with hints of cherry, forest floor, woodsy aromas, nutmeg, tea and spice. In the mouth, it is quite soft and polished, with pomegranate and autumn leaves. Definitely on the woody side. I have enjoyed this wine more in the past, and I wonder if the wine is tiring. I don't see it getting better. 4-12-15-7: 88/100.

Wow, this was stinky like a teenage northern Rhone, with bacon and smoky campfire notes. Felt like a hot mess of poorly-integrated élevage and also some brett, as this became metallic with air. Undrinkable. Day 2, somehow this has become drinkable, even kinda good, but it's still dominated by smoky, cedary oak and lacks freshness. At best, this was a large "Do Not Disturb" sign.... at worst, perhaps a flawed bottle.

Opened last night and has really emerged in that time. Gorgeous ruby. Very fragrant with crushed roses and cherries. Has an extra dimension. In the mouth, it is rich, meaty, earthy and full-bodied. Not earth-shattering (at least at this early stage in its life), but still showing it’s Grand Cru pedigree. 5-13-16-8: 92/100.

Ruby. Dark red fruit. Fairly ripe nose. Nuanced wood and a touch of earth. I could easily have guessed New World.
