  • Fruit was gone, still a graceful elegance but nowhere close to what it was a couple of years ago. This wine (not perfectly well stored I am afraid) is in rapid decline. Drink up!

  • Very interesting and paradoxical wine. On one hand it is suffering from a 1996 acidity imbalance, which is enhanced by a thin and somewhat dilute mouth which signals the absence of the vanished fruit. On the other hand, the aromatic profile of this wine is astounding in it's originality and complexity; both in nose and palate. Very little fruit, but loads of herbs and aromatic scents which make this wine a memorable experience. An interesting terroir for sure, somewhat betrayed by the winemaking perhaps.

  • Medium red color with an orange hue. Floral, elegant perfume aromas, with some barnyard, earth and a hint of vitamin pill. Tight, intense and very elegant on the palate, with some juicy red berries, strawberries and red currant. Followed by leather and dried rose petals. The fruit has good intensity and lasts on the fine finish. Still dry and tannic on the end, this seems like the vintage’s fingerprint.

  • My favorite Pinot from Otis' CDP. Very intricate wine. Beautifully elegant and graceful on the palate. Notes of cherry, raspberry and some nuttiness. Well balanced. 92 points.
