Barely budged since my earlier notes from '14 & '20. Core of crystalline pineapple fruit, other exotics in background, steely minerality and focussed acidity. That acidity prevents this intrinsically rather sweet (for a Kabinett) wine from becoming insipid. Have no idea how this will evolve - it hasn't significantly for the past 7 years! Hard to put a drink by estimate on this - but can't see it, given its stability, failing to make 20yrs from vintage.

A Peter Pan of a wine! Still youthful with my last (2015) note still essentially valid. Core crystalline focussed pineapple with secondary aromatic fruit nuances. Steely minerality and powerful but balanced acidity that prevents cloying in what is essentially an off-dry wine. Long. Superb - and with at least another decade of evolution (and perhaps further improvement) to come with this structure. Stunning value. Half a dozen to go! Now and till 2029 at least. 92?+

Quite a stink on the nose, almost like mercaptin, with some rich yellow stone fruits. Very ripe for a Mosel, probably because of the warm year. This is nice, but there is a candy floss element in the finish I don't care for. Perhaps a little past peak.

HWS Game dinner 2016 (@ RvD): Not many notes but this is really a beautiful wine. A bit pleasantly stinky and minerals in the bouquet as well as on the palate. The wine is off dry and has a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness. A treat!

See also my previous notes. Still elegant and fresh. Really delicious and still youthful.
