Last of three and probably the best. Slow oxygenated for 6 hours as it smelly madierised. That helped then decanted fir half an hour and it opened up well. Nice mature red fruits. Good old claret. Past best but still holding up.

Pale and faded but nice red fruits nose and rosehips flavour. Old wine but still in condition. The 75s were at first rated very highly. Ten years in people were saying they were falling apart quickly. Both assessments were off the mark. Not as great as hoped but they have lasted like this.

Pale reddy brown colour. Faint, faded nose of rosehips and redcurrant. No signs of oxidation. Taste at first was very thin and watery with some red fruit. Two hours in the decanter then ten minutes in the glass helped to flesh it out a bit. Took on a bit of weight, fruit became stronger and a bit gravelly and meaty. Still light but ok. Well past best though.

In good condition. Nose is slightly muted after decanting but opened up after 30 minutes. Notes of leather, graphite, dried red berries. In the mouth there's still the remains of powdery tannins and medium acid. Sweet fruit and finishes long. On the decline. Drink up.

Bottom neck fill. Soaked cork. Forest floor on the nose, on the palate still a bit of fruit and leather. Held up over the 90 min or so we drank the bottle. Just like the bottle 2 years ago, this is still drinking well. An excellent 1975 in its gentle decline.
