No black pepper in this vintage! Quite acidic with decent red and black fruit. Not up to the better vintage level.

Full red/pink color. Tight black friut with a hint of spice. nice round black fruit with good spiciness. Round and sweet on the palate. Surprisingly open in my opinion.

Tight smoky mineral nose. big tight white yellow fruit on the palate with piercing acidity and good mineral. Drinking quite young with upside. 92-93 pts.

Wow, I'm not normally a big fan of Dalla Valle, but I was surprised and blown away by this 04. Big in every way with great fruit and chocolate notes oozing. Delicious. 94-95 pts.

Full coffee red color. Very nice focused nose - clean. Lovely rich round red fruit with nice iron and iodine on the finish. A great wine for the vintage and a good overall concentrated HB.

Perhaps just the bottle, but I found this wanting and hot, especially compared to past successes there.

Wow, what a treat from 'under the table'... Gorgeous deep black color. Nose and palate like a great old bordeaux. A wonderful contrast to the rest of the youthful tasting.

One of the best young champagnes I've ever tasted and head and shoulders best of this tasting (with some good stiff competition). Incredible freshness, life, and richness all in balance.
