Not to slight Bevan on this wine, but this may be the new recipe of Napa. A lot of fruit easy to drink with vitually no complex tatses or depth...except oak. Very sweet like blueberry extract. It is a well made wine but not my style that I like about Napa. Lewelling won out on this bottle and it was not close. Bevan $155 Lewelling $60...Yikes!

A really powerful young wine at 11 years old. A lot of cassis and red/blue fruit bramble. unctuous mouth feel with a 30 second finish. Just a really good wine with 5-6 years ahead of it at least. Love it !!!

Tastes like an Aussie Shiraz/Grenache...A well made wine just not the style from Napa I enjoy and I will leave it at that.

Let me just say I am not a fan of most Washington wine, especially our recipe made Syrah's that are about as boring as watching grass grow. But this Syrah is different has some exotic black fruit, smoke, incense and a little underbrush. Think a very clean Cayuse. And I think it will get better...Excellent

I dont know what to say except I wish more Washington wineries would stop using the recipe and use more passion like the cabernation people. This is one of the first WA state wines for this price point that is doing it. You can taste some depth and nuances in the wine. Brambely fruit, sage, other muted spice notes and a gentle kiss of oak on this very smooth WA state cab. May rate higher in a year or 2.

Rim is bright ruby w no fading at the edge. Beautiful mouthfeel silkey smooth with that oakville flavor of currant, red and black fruit that has a slight hint of the bordeaux leatherly earth.Full acid and tannin still exisist in the 12 year old baby. I really do not think it has hit its peak yet just a very, very well made Napa cabernet. Kudos to Lesley and family!!

I dont know why people would not be into this wine, yes its a little new world yet so Bordeaux. Massive with dark fruit, currant, cedar and stoney graphite with a touch of finesse. Just a great wine and better in a few years WOW!

Tied for WOTN...Tasted blind against 2007 Lewis cab ($80) Cliff Lede Poetry 2006 ($125) and 2008 Snowden Reserve ($90). Tied with Lewis cab and considering they were all blind with 4 experienced palette's says a lot about the 2007 Ramseyer at ($40). Incredible balanced and an integrated unctuous texture. Heady with above average acidity so I believe will age. How long? Who knows but I will have a good time finding out!
