Mildly corked.
Granted, I'm hyper sensitive, but still...disappointing.

Delicious but drinking very young. Elegant bright cherry with just a hint of meat, but lots of pepper and wild herb.

Charleston Offlineorama VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Various locations): From one of the more recent disgorgements I think. Drinking very young, but still with the balance and purity I have always loved on this wine. Nice acid, tart lemon, and a great mineral streak. I’d love to try it in another decade or two.

Charleston Offlineorama VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Various locations): From magnum. I have yet to try a bottle of this in which there was sufficient age to resolve the sweet. This was no different, but still a great treat.

Charleston Offlineorama VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Various locations): We have had this from 750 several times, and thought it needed time. This one is a baby. A MONSTER but still a baby. Incredible length and power with mixed citrus, crushed spices and great acidity. Could be breathtaking with age.

Charleston Offlineorama VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Various locations): Somewhat muted (has lost much of its power). I suspect in another 10 years it will re-emerge as a monster. Very refined Tempranillo, with the slightest hints of Cab.

Charleston Offlineorama VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Various locations): Total funk, almost foul at first sniff, then it began to blossom. The Mourvèdre funk was still there, but the red fruits started to emerge. My second glass was from the second bottle, which had more fruit and less funk. Lots of Rhône garrigue and spice.

Great acidity. Really dark cherry. Finish goes forever. No hard edges, just layer after layer of complex fruit and spice. What an unbelievable treat.

There are hints of stewed plum mixed with black fruits, fresh red cherry, a hint of earthy tobacco, and seaside minerality. Dry tannins pucker te lips, but there is enough fruit to balance. While rustic and not very complex, this wine is very pleasant.

OLD Birthday Wines (a few days belated) (Chez S1): Alcohol dominates both the attack and the finish, but the mid palate shows layer after layer of orange, dried fig, light wild sage, caramel, coffee, and clove. Racy and vibrant, this could live forever.
