Now I am Convinced the prior bottles were advanced. This was beautiful and fresh blue red fruit. Plums. Tar and excellent tension.

Decanted for 2 hours. Dark fruit, chocolate, red fruit, plum, herbs and minerals. A lot going on here all with a wonderfully silky texture. Finish falls a bit short but love the flavors and texture.

Drank over 3 hours. Immediately open on the nose with airy Leroy spice, red and blue fruit. Gorgeous palate with an unusual level of finesse. 1er depth but the flavors and energy make up for it. I’ve had my fair share of Leroy and this was a standout.

Needed two hours of air but after that this was another insanely good bottle. So intense.

Very different experience from the bottle last year. Super jammy dark fruit. No spice. Didn’t move much even on day 3.

My first time with this wine. High shoulder fill. Cork was mostly soaked through. Surprisingly dark in color. Closed on the nose for 10min then it really got going. Dark fruit, tobacco, coffee. Some sweeter red fruit came out with time. What I loved was the balance and symmetry. Incredibly round and silky. Regal and majestic are definitely appropriate descriptors. And this was so youthful yet with details and flavors that only time can produce. We drank this way too fast…90min out of a decanter. Hope to try it again and give it a few more hours.

Not sure what was up to with us tonight. Bottle was in great shape with base neck fill. A serious chemical note on the nose faded after about an hour. But the palate had a strange VA quality.

Immediately ready to go. Gorgeous creamy, dark fruit. Very forward and open. Brown sugar and baking spice. Touch of mint. A really nice surprise.

Adding one more point to my prior scores to confirm I slightly prefer the Beze to the Chambertin. In a amazing place right now. Likely no further upside. Drink it all.

Rich and full blue fruit flavors and touch of spice. Lots of oak. This comes across a bit heavy handed and stylistic. That might seem ironic since I love Leroy so much but I guess I prefer that style.

Soft. Pure. Excellent finesse. Young, a dark fruit streak and a bit firm on the finish but really lovely.

High shoulder. The nose took about an hour to really show much. Metallic notes, earth, iron, and touch of tobacco. Smooth and well balanced on the pallet. Sole iodine. Sweetness of fruit lasted for about three hours. Very pleasant. Perhaps not the best bottle, but still enjoyable.

High shoulder. Corked soaked through. Excellent deep rich color that read 30 years younger. Shy on the nose—even after 3 hours of air. Smooth and plush on the palate. Coffee, dark fruit, touch of iodine and a metallic streak. Super impressed.

Top shoulder fill. Decanted and drank over two hours. Was still picking up steam at the end. Initially quiet on the nose, but lovely, dark fruit, chocolate, coffee, and earthy notes on the palate. Beautifully round and creamy texture. Wonderful balance. The nose became more expressive and sweeter fruit came out with time. A great bottle.

The bottle looked brand new and the fill was high. This made sense since it was recorked in 2005. Mature nose, very much alive on the palate. Soft with aged, dark fruit, earth and pencil. It came across a little flat. Others enjoyed this more than I did.

Top shoulder. Original cork. Quite musty, which blew off after about three or four minutes. Slight faded color. Dusty red fruit. Iodine. Touch of sweetness left and a banana note. Drier finish. I believe correct but past its prime. Still a treat.
