White - Sparkling
My favorite wine I've had this year. Such a joyous wine, like a sun beam through the window warming up your face. Very generous bright fruit with beautiful texture and finish.

White - Sparkling
Baked apple with lees quality. Fairly concentrated flavors and a very persistent finish. Not my preferred style of Champagne but it was really good if you enjoy this style.
White - Sparkling
Beautiful balance of yellow bright fruit with brioche. The wonderful mousse of bubbles and finish is also a highlight.

Dark purple/red fruited with mocha. Initially very tight but opened up next day. Either give it more time or have a long decant for this wine.
Red
Initial taste in the morning very expressive/floral, strawberries and roses then leather and earth. Bright acid. By the evening the wine shut down hard. Give this wine more time!
Red
Ruby red with an exciting nose of metal/iron and black pepper. Tastes of a mixture of red and dark fruit with fresh cracked pepper. Lingering note of olive and rare beef. Medium density and texture. Balanced acid. Really enjoyed this one.
White
Richness without heaviness. High acid, more than expected for 2018 vintage. Nice persistent finish.

Rich, dense style of CA PN. Fruit in the dark spectrum, plum with some age notes coming through. YMMV but I think this style is better to drink young.
White
Underneath the matchstick some pure yellow fruit. Good richness, nice texture/density. High quality finish with long persistence. Paired really well with the crab ravioli topped with white truffle. Just read Aagrawal's note: describes this wine much better than my note =)

Wife and I really enjoyed this one. The 2014 vintage of this wine we had a few years ago was our first white Burgundy epiphany. Although the 2014 was better in my memory, this wine didn't disappoint. Beautiful nose, richness contrasted with mineral notes and bright yellow fruit/acidity. High quality finish.
White
Had three bottles over the past couple of months and consistent. A distinctive Sancerre, perfumed nose of white flowers with lychee (without the sweetness). Dry and nice acidity. Went great with scallops.

This was a weird wine. Blind I don't know if I would call PN. Interesting that my wife and friend both said "guava" while I interpreted the wine as red fruit with some papaya notes. Funky and was fun to try but I'm not buying any more of these.
Red
Was expecting a more plump luscious style but I was surprised at the relative balance. Dense dark fruit but enjoyed the tobacco/cab notes, with light mocha dusting. Nice integration of oak and a round/high quality finish.
White - Sparkling
Much more open than the 08 we had a couple of months ago. White flowers, yellow fruit, a bit of toast. Prefer the pure fruit in the 08 but this bottle was easier to enjoy at this time.

Very tight at the moment. Even when I got to the last couple of ounces of this bottle and thought I finally got to the point where the wine was revealing itself, it was very shy and played hide and seek with me.

Interesting balance of darker red cherry balanced with bright pomegranate and raspberries. Light earthy notes. Highlight of the wine is the sensual texture.

2015 Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Same bottle as Curtis. Perfumed nose of dark fruit with violet/lavender. On the palate, dark purple/blue fruit with a bit of chocolate. Silky texured wine. Nice hit of acidity framing everything and providing most of the structure since I didn't get much of a tannic kick. Very suprised at how well this was drinking at this young age. In summary, a modern twist on Bordeaux. Enjoyed/liked but did not love it. Poured the last 4 ounces into a vial and revisted on day 3: the nose was less expressive, the fruid settled down and very subtle interesting note of stone underneath (don't ask me what kind of stone lol).

Young Nebbiolo color: ruby with the tinge of orange. Aromatic nose of red fruit/cherries, a pinch of spices/nutmeg, touch of earth/leather/creosote, and a light menthol flourish at the end. Taste matches the nose, satin texture, dense flavor but lifted with the aromatics and acid. Worked really well with the braised short rib papardelle tonight. Very easy to drink, and a wine that engages with both the nose and the tongue. It earned the uncommon second puncture from the Coravin tonight while I typed up this note.
White - Sparkling
Second bottle and a better showing this time. A very generous champagne with expressive yellow fruit. Dosage is a touch evident but there/s acidity there to balance it. A crowd pleasing wine that's very easy to drink.

Starts with faint reductive notes, swirling reveals expressive nose of red fruit and red florals. Tastes of juicy medium red raspberry/cherry, orange zest. Digging deeper you can find some mild underbrush scents. Flavorful but elegant and light on it's feet. Good typicity for Sonoma Coast PN in my opinion. Maybe a bit pricey but enjoyed this bottle. Disagree with previous note, did not taste overt oak in my experience. Had to look up the technical info from the producer which states 22 month in barrel, 30% new French oak, 12.8% alcohol.
White - Sparkling
Moderate reduction notes on the nose. With vigorous swirling the pure yellow fruit comes out, lemon curd but hard to tease out other subtle notes at this time. Mouth feel is zippy but then a caress of fine mousse bubbles. Hold or allow more air time if you choose to drink this now.

Ready for business, expressive nose and drinking well with dark red fruit with spice. A note I kept coming back to (and loved) was black tea in the nose and palate and even in the texture which was silky but then has that fine grained tannin texture/finish. I've seen that tasting note of black tea used before but this is the first time I was really struck by that description. Medium+ density, medium acid, long finish. Good typicity for RRV with high quality, fruit forward but not syrup.
White - Off-dry
Bright intense fruit, peaches and melon draped over subtle underlying stone. Lasting high quality finish. Drinking youthfully, very easy to enjoy.
White - Sparkling
Elegant champagne with lemon/apple notes and hints of minerality. With time and warming up more complex notes emerge. Fine bubbles, high acid and long lasting finish. I thought it would be too high acid for the wife, but she gave it a thumbs up.

CC Blind Tasting #4: Strawberry and cherries on the nose and palate. Had an interesting spice note that I've tasted in Chateau Musar in the past, I guess that is called "funk"? Lighter texture but had a stronger tannin in the finish than expected. I initially thought Beaujolais but was thrown off with the tannin/finish. Then I went to thinking Oregon PN. In the end I didn't officially call a wine but I should have went with my gut instinct. A fun gulpable wine with some interesting notes in there for the geeks.

CC Blind Tasting #3: Color: medium density ruby color with tinge of purple, clear. Nose: violets, light pepper notes, youthful purple fruit. Taste: purple fruit, pepper, medium acid, medium texture, initially thought easy to drink but with repeated sips you can feel the tannin and acid build up. Called cool climate Syrah, felt like something missing so I didn't think it was Cote Rotie. When my friend revealed domestic I went straight to Halcon.

CC Blind Tasting #2: Violets/florals on the nose, density of flavor but not texture. Peppery, rocky minerals. Young wine so I'm surprised the tannin was not stronger but I'm guessing maybe it had a lot of air? I had a fleeting thought that it was similar to the first blind wine from a month or two ago (which was the 2014 vintage of this wine) but ended up guessing a young St. Joseph Syrah with a lot of air.
Red
CC Blind Tasting #1: pretty violet/florals in the nose, medium density dark cherry/raspberry, juicy fruit/acidity. Not much spice/savory notes. Nice texture, good finish. Said it may be Syrah done in a light style but ultimately called Zin in an elegant style: young Scherrer Zin. Not 100% blind because I knew my friend purchased some of these recently but I'll take it.

Fun to revisit this wine, my last bottle was almost 3 years ago. Maybe I'm finding/confirming what I'm looking for but I got the feral meaty wild flavors with creosote. Red fruit with bright acidity. Strong tannin. Much more expressive that the previous bottle and the flavors on taste are coming more alive compared to the muted experience on the palate with the last bottle.

Found this wine enjoyable/easy to drink and fits the mold of an AVA/Sonoma PN but fairly simple for the price (if you purchased at MSRP).
Rosé - Sparkling
Drank this on a warm weekend and this bottle disappeared very quickly. Pretty salmon color, easy to drink strawberry. Didn't find much beneath the fruit but the bubbles were fine and finish very nice. I did try to let it warm and air out in the Glasvin but I also was multitasking with the grill.

Do you like this wine? I loved it. It's what I'm looking for when I drink white Burgundy (from my limited experience). The two previous notes summarized it well. Started out with reductive notes but upon swirling it reveals a clean/crisp wine with pure intensity of yellow fruit, mild mineral notes. Long/good quality finish. I guess I need to up the ante if I want more complexity but for the price this really hit the spot.

2000 Château Sociando-Mallet Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Really enjoyed my first bottle of this wine. The cigar and tobacco was backed up with medium red fruit and forest floor notes. Good acidity and silky texture. Moderate finish. Fun masculine wine and paired beautifully with lamb.
White
Loved this bottle. The vineyard and wine making style tempers the CA fruit into a really nicely balanced chard. With air some more complexity develops. A pretty finish.

Over delivers for the price and scratches that domestic/CA PN itch. Perfect for the weekday where you want a glass of red fruit in a bowl but acid a texture to be in balance (not syrupy). Third/last bottle over a period of 5 years and it was the best one but I don't expect more improvement, so drink up.
White - Sparkling
Drank two bottles over the past year, notes from memory: interesting lemon grass notes, bubbles and finish a bit rustic but a fun wine for the price.

Very tight, as others have mentioned better to hold at this time. Started out with reduction notes but underneath some very clean crisp yellow fruit/lemon and a pretty finish.

2 bottles drank well for the price but the last one was oxidized

Best on third day for me. Sexy perfume of red fruit mixed with florals and spices. Initial taste in day one seemed reserved and slightly herbal, day two more exuberant with the fruit but today has a nice balance of the two. The Sonoma fruit quality front and center but also interesting notes of damp leaves/mushroom, some soy sauce and umami going on. Nicely balanced acid with a silky texture. Just a slight heat signature at the end which is a fine trade off for the mouthfeel/texture to me. Was supposed to drink this pour while I cooked dinner but I found myself sitting down to write this note and now I need to refill the glass to sip on while I cook. Thought provoking but delicious wine.

A great introduction to this producer. This is the first $30 white burgundy that I felt was much better than previous CA chards I've had in the same price range. Looking forward to trying more from this producer.

Really disappointed after all the praise on here. I think the early window for drinking has shut: had an initial taste with reserved nose/taste and then decanted for two hours and came back to a still very reserved nose. Dark blue/purple fruit with strong tannins. Not giving much even after a dinner that lasted a few hours. Drank the left overs the next day and still didn't get a great impression. Definite HOLD in my view.

Exuberant fruit but I felt it lacked complexity and was overly sweet with a syrupy texture. Would pair well with spicy food but I think you can do better at this price point. Going to give the next bottle some time to see if anything develops.

Been dipping our toes into white Burgundy more, and this was a nicely balanced bottle. Fruit is more subtle with some mineral/white floral accents, bright acidity but the finish was where this wine shined. No harsh edges or alcohol/heat signature.

Thoroughly enjoyed with dinner. Good aromatic expression, nice pretty fruit with a light hand on oak, fair dose of acidity. Not sure I can call Meaursault blind, but I'm a noob.

2013 Domaine Tempier Bandol Mourvèdre Blend, Mourvèdre (view label images)
First time with this wine and I'm a fan. Blue and purple fruit accented with blood and minerals. Medium density/texture and good acidity, a bit of a rustic finish. Would like to try some with more age on it.
Red
Third bottle and best one so far. Still dark fruit forward, rich and plush texture but not gloppy. Some cab tobacco notes starting to peek out.
Acidity to back up all the fruit. Oak and tannin just starting to integrate. Still in very early phase of drinking, but hit the spot pairing it with the tomohawk wagyu ribeye
Red
Very restrained style of Syrah: violet aromatics, tastes of bright purple fruit, medium density, medium texture. Still has grip but the acid playing a big part of the structure.
Red
This wine over delivered for it's price. Classic cab that is not over done. Drinking well now, but can go for longer.
Red
Decanted and instantly the aromatics blossomed and wafted in the immediate area. Light to medium red berries highlighted with spices. Nice acidity and a beautiful finish. Makes me wonder why I don't buy more Littorai. Drinking well now.
Red
Solid Napa cab drinking really well at this time. Main story is dark plush cab, with tobacco notes and forest floor starting to come out. Good acidity and persistent finish. Still a long life left, drank best after two decant. Would be fun to blind vs a 2005 Bordeaux
