This wine is just hitting its stride! Dark purple color with modest aromas of dark fruit and dry cedar and sage brush. Black currant and blue berry and black berry and raspberry assault you at the same time as backing spice in a harmonious start that transitions to a darker cark chocolate and espresso finish. Full-bodied, with tannins that are supportive but not too assertive, acidity that piques the flavors and ensures longevity... this wine has at least 5 more years left, but it is at the front end of its drinking curve, so it is good to go now.

Medium-Light ruby color, mild aromas of cedar box and spice. PAP, the flavors are lighter taking on red cherry and strawberry with English tea on the finish. After an hour in a decanter the flavors darken into black cherry and black raspberry, with more pronounced English tea and hint of dark baking chocolate. Either way it's very smooth and delicious to drink! Perfect now, no rough edges, drink now to +2 years.

Dark purple color, almost inky. Modest aromas of cedar box, tobbaco, white pepper and dark fruit. Flavors of mascerated blackberry, with layered flavors of pomegranate, dark chocolate, cranberry, tobacco, and a luscious, full bodied, long finish. Nice bright acidity piques all the flavors, and creates freshness in all the big flavors that help sustain the finish. My first notes on this in 2018 were "a little one note". This bottle was either better preserved, or nicely evolved from 2018.

Flavors of blueberry and plum, layered with seamless transitions to blackberry, and cardamom, and milk chocolate, with espresso on the long finish. Medium-full bodied, with fully soft and integrated tannins, smooth, seamless, balanced, delicious, and elegant for a Syrah. I'm much more used to fuller bodied Syrah, which I also like, but this has a balance and restraint that is very welcome. Drink now, no need to wait, but it's got years ahead too.

Full bodied hedonistic sweet mascerated blackberry right up front, then the blackberry-dark chocolate-pomegranite hits and tames the almost port like front end, and a touch of cayenne pepper on the long finish completes the experience. I'll preface this review by saying I had this wine on 10/19/19 and provided a tasting note. I was disappointed with the wine (vs my expectation) and since I have 12 I went back to the well to see if there was some problem with the other bottle. soooo.... here we go!
Same medium-light garnet color with aromas of cedar forest floor, not very little white pepper on this one. Flavor profile is similar, sour black cherry cola with black tea, and a good long finish. The big difference is the level of bitterness and acidity conflict is significantly reduced, and the fruit is much more pronounced. This bottle was a much more balanced wine, very delicious, still not 95!, but no reservations about my new rating. It should be noted, I popped and poured this into a broad decanter to aerate the wine. Very little decant time and the note above is the result, last bottle was pop and pour to the glass and let sit for 30 min. and then drank from the bottle over 3 hours. I wish I had thought to pour a glass before pouring to decanter for direct compare, but I didn't, will do next bottle. This wine needs some aeration and all is good!

Medium body, Good acidity helps on the front but accentuates the bitterness on the back. If you like Pinot somewhat austere, this will be great, if you like it with a little more fruit and balance, not so much. I'm not sure where HS from WS got 95 from, but this is not 95!! disappointing. 90 might be generous.

Following it through a couple hours it definitely opened up and changed character. Flavors of black cherry cola and blackberry with baking spice and mocha finish, nice acidity piques the flavors just right. If you drank this and commented out of the bottle, not so much, but it's got some legs left and after 2 hours, wow! this will go for some time yet 2022? maybe a little more. Got 11 left!!

Still got time with this one, but no reason to wait, it won't get better, it just won't get worse for a fair bit of time. Wish I had another one!
